Sometimes the past stays in the past and other times it can follow you forever. All Rachel wanted was to live a life of happiness and have her husband all to herself till the end of time. Cody had a rough start as a troubled kid addicted to drugs. With a lot of help and support, he turned himself around and has become a top notch fire fighter. Cody is head over heels in love with Rachel. Struggling to keep his life clean, he has no idea how to deal with the situation he is being forced to face from his past and save his marriage.

Not everyone was as lucky as Cody and events in life can sometimes prevent the Cinderella story from playing out the way we'd like it to. Jealousy from a past love and fellow addict threatens to tear them apart and force their happiness to go up in flames. Love, trust and the hope for one day having a family together keep Rachel from just up and walking away from Cody and his past and never look back. Will her faith in her man and their love be enough to overcome evil or will they forever be burned

I received an ARC of Love Burned Deep in exchange for an honest review.

This is a novella, so it's only 26 pages. When you do a novella you have to try and pack a lot of info in such a short amount of time. 

So this is the story of Cody and Rach. Cody is a firefighter, I mean who doesn't love firefighters?? Cody and his men just got done fighting a big fire and were out celebrating. Rach is proud of her man, however that doesn't mean she doesn't worry constantly about him. Hell if I was in her shoes, I'd worry to death as well. 

There is this one witch of a woman named Angie that is set out to get Cody back. No matter what it costs. Even if it means starting fires, so he'll have to come and rescue her. I'm telling you this woman isn't right in the head. Yes, drugs are part of it..I just think there is more to her story and I wouldn't mind figuring it out. 

Angie has been causing a lot of drama their whole relationship. Cody keeps saying he will take care of it, but he hasn't. For years…I'm sorry but i'd slap him and take it into my own hands. Especially if the woman kept coming around and going to the measures she does. 

In the end something happens with Angie, and it almost tears them apart. Drama. Drama. Drama. 

This wasn't that bad of a story, I just wish it was a bit longer. If it was a full length novel it would be an amazing story. I just didn't really have enough time to connect with the characters. 

I rate Love Burned Deep 3.8 stars.
