Synopsis

My Review
So I was left torn…exactly as the title implies.
I absolutely loved Grams, regardless of the things she did. She did them out of love. I pictured my Grams and I knew that my Grams would do the same exact things if it meant I would live a happy life. My Grams is such an amazing woman and a big influence in my life. I love her character to pieces.
Katie was living a perfect life. She is in Yale working extremely hard to become a Nurse. Around campus she sees this extremely sexy man named Branson. She can never find the courage to talk to him, but she isn't afraid to stare. One day by chance she happens to run into him outside of the tennis court. He actually comes up and talks to her…from that day on something starts. I swear I love their relationship. They honestly have a relationship everyone dreams to have. Yes, there is heartache though.
Katie has these nightmares. They are scary and she has no idea what is causing them. She ends up going to see a psychologist after Branson suggests it. While there the psychologist uncovers some things. Katie has no idea what it could be….but then she has flashes of memories. These memories are ones that I would of never guessed let alone wish on my worst enemy…then again LOL. Anywho it's bad. So her grandmother erased her memories and told a hypnotherapist to plant new memories into her mind so she would be happy. It worked, that is until these memories started to come back. Grams thought it was Branson that was bringing on these memory flashes, but I have reason to believe it wasn't all him. When she finds this all out she tells Branson. Now this is where things got a bit frustrating for me. Branson of course is in shock considering everything that just got thrown at him. Katie of course takes it the wrong way and leaves him.
Branson calls and calls, but no answer. He calls Grams house, no answer. Katie thinks Branson doesn't want her anymore so she is heartbroken and depressed. She asks Grams if Branson has tried to contact her or anything, and thinking she's helping her Grams lies to her and says no. SOOO Katie and Grams end up leaving. They go to a beach house of one of Grams really good friends. While there Katie's Grams sets her up with a surgeon named Aidan. Now Aidan and Katie end up having some type of thing going on which really just pisses me off. Here is why. BRANSON!!!! I am beyond rooting for the man, I mean come on she didn't even hear what he had to say she just ran and assumed. I am just torn at this point.
Does Katie open up her damn eyes and realize that Branson is the one, and has always been the one? Or does she start fresh with Aidan the man that doesn't know about her past and never will?? Read the book to find out.
This story is unlike anyone I've read. It's a great thing though and it works.
I rate Torn 5+ stars.
