Part 2

Abandoned by her birth parents, Lacy Harrison grew up struggling to figure out where she belongs. A few days after her nineteenth birthday she packs a bag, straps her guitar to her back, and leaves rural Texas for the country of her birth.

Leaving Dex's place with a lump in her throat, Lacy tries not to dwell on what might have been. Besides, she knows what she's here for - work. She's given a month long opportunity to train with a chef, and there's the possibility of staying on after the month is up. Is she ready for life in rural Scotland?

Before she can even hop on a bus and leave London, a very angry and out of breath Dex shows up...

Damn suitcase wheels, heck damn suitcases in general. They always break oh so easily. Which of course happens to Lacy as she arrives to the Bus Stop. Karma for leaving Dex maybe? Her suitcase wheel cracks so now it's this wobbly mess. Lacy is hurt and saying Dex hurt her after he said he wouldn't. I think it might be the other way around though. I mean, she is the one that left. Picture this...stairs and a broken wheel on a suitcase. Challenge much! With people rushing all around her Lacy holds on to the railing of the stairs for dear life and starts climbing them. She's got her guitar on her back and is trying to get up the stairs with this "craptastic" suitcase when she hears her name, "Lacy". Wait..could that be Dex? No it can't be. AHHHH it is Dex!!! He's at the bottom of the stairs with his hair looking like he had a fight with a hair dryer, shirt on backwards, and one boot lace undone. Hot damn this man threw stuff on so he could run after this girl and she doubted him. 

Dex sprints up the stairs almost tripping and takes the suitcase out of her hands. Looks at her and says, "What the fuck, Lacy?" HAHAHA he told her. Turns out this stud muffin was calling after her. Lacy, it always pays to listen dear. Could of saved yourself the sulking, then again having him chase after you has got to feel like PERFECTION! Dex is panting. Literally due to running god only knows how far. He mentions how he needs to sit down, so he grabs Lacy by the hand and they go up the stairs. After some explaining Dex tells her He wants to take her to Scotland. Aw how romantic!!! Makes him even more Swoon worthy! 

Dex wants to keep in touch with her via text, email, and calls. He wants whatever this is between them to work. :D  Lacy doesn't know what else to say so she informs him his shirt is on backwards. Dex lets out a laugh and fixes it. They end up at a coffee shop, I have always loved coffee...however I'm beginning to think it might be an aphrodisiac. Hm interesting. Dex tells Lacy to wait for him and not leave until he gets back. He wants to run home and pack. 

While waiting Lacy calls her new boss Mr. Macintosh aka Rhys. She tells him how she's at the bus stop in London and will be headed his way soon and would call him back with the details. Rhys seems like a laid back person, and seems to be thrilled to have Lacy on his staff. Rhys tells her he'll pick her up from Kyle of Lochalsh. By the time the call ends Dex has just sat down in the chair next to her. He takes her face into his hands and kisses her possessively which Lacy likes. They go to the ticket window to purchase their tickets, and what do you know Dex pays for it. Lacy goes to say something about it, but Dex cuts her off and of course his mouth just starts pouring out Amazing Wonderfulness. *sigh* 

They have 3 hours until the train leaves so Dex suggests they play their guitars. Dex ends up singing her this FUCKTASTIC song he wrote ;) 

Before she boards the train she calls Rhys back and lets him know her travel plans. With that out of the way she's about to enjoy the next 2 days with Dex. They arrive in Blackpool and take a taxi to a B&B. Lacy notices there is only one bed in the room. Oh, dirty thoughts commence now! They end up going to get some food then go to a club. Of course Lacy and her darn mind. She begins to think and gets this idea in her head that maybe he has a girlfriend. She asks Dex if he does and tenses up as she waits for his reply. Which is " Lace, love. I've not got a girlfriend, okay?" 

What happens next could soak your panties. HOLY GEEZ! 

My Thoughts:

Where do I even begin? Oh I know Dex is one sexy piece of stud muffin, and I'd be more then happy to gobble him up. I knew there was going to be some steamy stuff, but I never expected him to be into some of the things he is. ;) LOVE IT! Lacy, Hun I hope you know how lucky you are. I loved how Dex ran to the station to find her. What guy would actually do that?? Oh I know, HIM! Lacy might of doubted him before, but she better not doubt him anymore. I think he has proven himself worthy. I know they don't really know each other, but their chemistry is perfection with a side of bacon! *mouth drooling* 

You know I wonder if her suitcase wheel hadn't broken do you think Dex would of caught up with her? Hm well thank goodness for that broken wheel then. I will say suitcases are a pain in the tush. The zipper either breaks, the pull handle doesn't come up, or wheels pop off. It's tragic. Plus, I'm beginning to think coffee is an aphrodisiac. Based on how it leads to some swoon worthy sexiness in this book. 

I can't wait to read Part 3 to find out just how hot and steamy their night got.
