Abandoned by her birth parents, Lacy Harrison grew up struggling to figure out where she belongs. A few days after her nineteenth birthday she packs a bag, straps her guitar to her back, and leaves rural Texas for the country of her birth.
First stop; London, where she first meets Dex. He's tall, dark, and tattooed, and when he plays guitar, he renders her speechless. When he sings, she just about loses her heart. And the more time she spends with him, the less she wants to leave...

19 year old Lacy just arrived in London and wants to go exploring, but firsts things first...she needs to go buy a cell phone so she can let her parents know she's arrived safely. She swaps her money for some pounds and heads over to the park. Finding an empty bench she sits down and calls Melanie Chambers. Melanie helps people find a hospitality job and hooks you up with a few prospective employers. You get paid in cash and have a place to stay on top of free meals. Hey sounds pretty good to me. Lacy has to leave a voicemail, hopefully Melanie calls her back ASAP if not Lacy will have to stay in a Hostel. (Scares me, because first thing my mind goes to is that movie Hostel!) Melanie please, please, please call her back HAHA.
While waiting for the call back Lacy opens up her guitar case and starts playing. Getting lost in the music she doesn't realize she has an audience until she's done and they are all clapping throwing money in her open guitar case. That's when the sexy Dex comes into the picture. He asks if he can join her and starts playing his guitar and singing. SWOOONNNN I mean come on who doesn't love a man that can sing? As they play together she gets a phone call and walks away to take it. Please let it be Melanie!!! Oh...darn it's just her parents cause they just don't want a text they want to hear their daughters voice. Can't blame them though, I'd do the same with my kids. After hanging up with her parents she walks back over to the bench where Dex has stopped playing and is watching over her stuff. How sweet!!!
When Dex starts complimenting Lacy I'm thinking DAMN this man knows how to use words. I have a feeling I'm going to be needing a fan, cause it's getting very hot in here!! Dex asks Lacy if she would like to go get some coffee with him and Lacy about melts from all the hotness and ends up moaning! HA, damn this man is sexy with all his tattoos. He ends up dragging her to the coffee shop where he picks an over sized chair and gestures for her to sit in his lap. Oh she's a goner. HAHA.
OH. EM. GEE I know!!!!!
Shit just got intense in a super amazing lick your lips fan yourself kind of way. Dex is beyond turned on by Lacy and proves it by the bulge between her cheeks. It becomes too hot for her so she jumps up. To attempt at getting his mind off of what he wants to do he asks Lacy what she's doing in London. She tells him about Melanie and how if she doesn't call she'll be staying at the hostel. Which Dex is having none of that, he tells her she can stay at his flat. Lacy of course is hesitant and of course the man who knows exactly what to say and when tells her if it will make her more comfortable he can stay at a friends house while she stays at his place. Dex wants to know more about her so he asks what she's doing here in London besides trying to find a job. She then tells him her heartbreaking reason as to why. So sad, but glad she got a happy ending!! After she tells him Dex takes her hand and says lets go back to my place.

Lacy standing behind Dex with mixed feelings. Part of her is wondering why she's here why the other is wanting to do a happy dance involving a pole and stripper heels. *giggles* Once inside Dex carries her stuff straight to his bedroom while Lacy just stands their at the front door and kicks her shoes off. When she looks up Dex is looking at her...no that's not a good enough explanation so I'll quote. "When I look up, he’s standing there, watching me. No, not just watching, he’s consuming me with his eyes." See SWOOOONNNNNING haha. Dex comes over to her she's pressed up on the door with his body holding her there. Then the kiss... The starts off sweet, but then turns into an all out claiming her kiss. *fanning myself*
Dex takes Lacy to his room where he gently lays her on the bed and starts to undress her. I won't go into detail about the scenes to follow you'll just have to read for yourself to find out!! However I will leave you with this:
“Stop,” his hot whisper tingles my lips. “That’s all you have to say. Stop. If you want me to, just say the word. This is for you, Lacy. I want to enjoy your body without interruption. I want to make you come until you can’t remember your name.”
A phone ringing wakes Lacy up from an erotic dream. She reaches for the cordless on her nightstand only to find someones arm. HMM-That's when she is brought back to where she really is and remembers all that happened the night before. She puts her blouse on and answers her phone. IT'S MELANIE!! Woot Woot. Oh wait!!!! DAMN. Melanie tells her how she got her an amazing job in a kitchen. Food MMMMM...
Once she hangs up Dex knows that was the call she was waiting for. Lacy is so full of emotion. It's for a month, a whole month! She tells Dex it's in Scotland! Whoa. FAR MUCH! It hurts Lacy to know she has to leave Dex even though she just met him. The hiss of air rushing from Dex goes to show it will hurt him too. Then Dex just leaves the room. Lacy takes it as a "okay, i'm done you can leave now" She packs up her things, gets dressed, and as she's putting her shoes on at the door she secretly hopes Dex will run up to her telling her she can't leave. Although he doesn't. So she leaves and catches a cab. Once in she tells herself to look back, but before she can see he's not there she turns back around in her seat.
My Thoughts:
OH. EM. GEE. After reading part 1 I feel like I need to smoke a cigarette. Just give me a moment to try and calm down. My heart is racing like I've been running a marathon. I don't even know what to say besides DAMN! Danielle has gone and done it again. I love how I can be sitting in front of my computer reading, yet it feels like I'm there experiencing everything Lacy is. Which just goes to show it's some AMAZING writing.
I won't lie I felt totally bummed when Lacy got the call from Melanie. I was liking the idea that she found a fairytale happy ending in Dex. Scotland though, LUCKY! I've always wanted to go. Lacy shouldn't of doubted Dex, I mean I know she isn't use to things going so well for her BUT come on babe he seemed bummed when you got the call. Lacy should of went looking for him instead of just assuming he left the room as a way to tell her it's time for you to leave. I will say though, this kind of ending leaves me wanting MORE! I want to know if Dex was actually there trying to flag down the cab, and her not wanting to think positive and turn around fully is what made her miss it. Guess will have to find out in Part 2!
