Jillian and Dean have been married for 19 years, and their two boys are now out of the house. Jillian would like to get the sparks started in their sex life again. Not saying their sex life sucked before, it was just more vanilla than she wants. Her husband Dean had an abusive father and he has always held back due to being afraid of going to far with her. Understandable. So Jillian has a plan to get things started off with a bang! Oh boy does she. 

Jillian has a plan set to get Dean on board with spicing up their sex life. She shows up at his work and basically blows his mind. She lets him know that she would like to spice things up, and ultimately he's been down for awhile. He sees a side of her he's never seen before and it turns him on. 

" Don't you dare give yourself that orgasm I know you want so badly, I'll give it to you when I feel you've earned it." 

The Marriage Diaries is ultimately about a husband and wife spicing things up. Living out fantasies they've always wanted to. Hell they even have a playroom, which in my opinion is awesome as hell. ;) Jillian and Dean find themselves learning a lot more about each other. The question is will Dean hurt her? Will it all be too much? That's something you'll have to find out for yourself. 

If your like me you get a thrill out of reading about sex. Now I myself am not a fan of vanilla sex, to me it's well quite boring. So it's a breath of fresh air to read about a couple that's been married for so long yet still having that spark. I myself have only been married for 4 years, yes the honeymoon phase has been long gone. My husband is in the Army and is gone A LOT! We also have three young kids. 5, 4, 1. When our kids are finally out of the house...it's game on. HAHA j/k. I would love to have a relationship like this after so many years of marriage. 

Now that I'm all done rambling... If you don't like reading about sex, masturbation, fantasies, role-play, etc. Then this isn't for you. 

It was a really easy read, something that could be read in an afternoon. I recommend you pick up this book and see where it takes you. You never know you could end up with some ideas to use in the bedroom yourself. 

I rate The Marriage Diaries 4 out of 5 stars.
