Synopsis
Kyle Pierce used to know what she wanted. At the top of her list was the perfect boyfriend. She found him in Lance Makin her senior year in high school. She was the head cheerleader and he was the new star quarterback. Even going to separate colleges was no problem for them.
It was perfect until the weekend it all changed for Kyle. She has new priorities that include her own education, making new friends and most importantly NO DATING!
That is until Nicholas Richards moves into her world. He’s not taking no for an answer. He’s her friend and he wants her to date him.
Kyle isn’t going to date Nick. She doesn’t mind hanging out or running errands. She tells him and everyone else they are friends.
Can they really be just friends?
(MY REVIEW)
I didn't like at all how it ended! Totally not what I expected to happen. There was a lot of back and forth with Nick and Kyle. At times I wanted to just put down my Kindle and walk away, it was getting pretty annoying. However I stuck with it, and overall it was a good read.
Kyle hurt her ex boyfriend (or so she thought) and since that day she's been a wreck. She doesn't date and all she does is focus on her studies. Which is a great plan, don't get me wrong. Although I think she's missing out. The moment Nick shows up at her door her world got turned upside down. Like I said before, a lot of back and forth. She wants to be with him, but doesn't want to date. He wants to be with her, but she doesn't want to date.
POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT::
There were some clues that made me to believe that Nick was the guy she slept with at that party and ever since he has been obsessed in a sense and wanting to be with her. She found pictures of herself from Freshman year in his bedroom that she didn't know of. Heck she didn't even know him. When he leaves to go be with his dad because he's in the hospital she goes to clean his room (snoops in my opinion) and finds 2 boxes FULL of photos of HER. In my opinion that's a little creepy, but hey leads to a good plot.
So with all of that being said, it wasn't a bad read. Had moments that I just wanted to skip ahead or put down the kindle and walk away. I just kept going and finished.
I rate Love Shots 3.8 stars.
